Golden Globes 2019: Michael Douglas Wins Best Actor In a Comedy Series

Veteran actor Michael Douglas won the first Golden Globes award in the television category, taking home the best actor in a comedy or musical award.

Douglas won the award for his role in Netflix's The Kominsky Method, beating out Sacha Baron Cohen (Who Is America), Jim Carrey (Kidding), Donald Glover (Atlanta) and Bill Hader (Barry).

Richard Madden took home the Golden Globes Award for best performance by an actor in drama series for his role in Netflix's Bodyguard, besting Jason Bateman (Ozark), Stephan James (Homecoming), Billy Porter (Pose), and Matthew Rhys (The Americans).
