Gol TV To Deliver Peace Cup Andalucia Action

Gol TV is set to kick off coverage from Spain of the 2009 Peace Cup Andalucia.

The soccer-centric service will cover the action from July 24 through Aug. 2, with the competition featuring Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo taking the field for the first time in Spain as members of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will take on Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad on Sunday, July 26 live at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by a battle against Ecuador's LDU Quito on Tuesday, July 28 live at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The hybrid soccer network, which offers its feed in both Spanish and English, will also take North American soccer fans inside the action as 12 top clubs from the world's best leagues take the field to raise awareness for world peace.

In addition to Real Madrid, the 2009 Peace Cup Andalucía will feature elite clubs Juventus FC, Italy's most successful team, and Mexico's Atlante FC, winner of the CONCACAF Champions League. Other tournament participants: Spain's Sevilla and Málaga; England's Aston Vila; Korea's Seognam; Portugal's FC Porto; Turkey's Besiktas JK; and current titleholders France's Olympique Lyonnais.
The 2009 Peace Cup Andalucía semifinals will air on Friday, July 31 with the championship match scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 2. Check www.goltv.tv for updates.
