GMC will air the gospel music-themed Stellar Awards through 2014 as part of a long-term deal announced Friday between the two parties.
GMC, which has telecast the Stellars since 2009, renewed its current deal to include carriage of the show in 2012, 2013 and 2014, said network officials. In addition, the network will air live the Stellar nominations show in 2012 and 2013.
The network Saturday will air the 27th annual Stellar Awards nomination show and concert hosted by gospel supergroup Trin-i-tee 5:7 and comedian Akintunde.
The one-hour telecast will also feature performances by Isaac Carree, William McDowell, Y'anna Crawley and other special guests.
