GMC To Air Hawkins Tribute Concert

 GMC on July 25 will air a tribute concert in honor of Gospel music legend Bishop Walter Hawkins.
TheTribute To Bishop Walter Hawkins event, which took place July 20 in Oakland, features performances from such Gospel performers as Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Hawkins' sister, Lynnette Hawkins, Karen Clark Sheard, Daryl Coley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Byron Cage, Melvin & Doug Williams of The Williams Brothers, guitarist Jonathan DuBose Jr., D.J. Rogers, and The Love Center Choir.
Black Entertainment Television personality Dr. Bobby Jones will serve as masters of ceremonies for the tribute event for Hawkins, who passed away July 11 from pancreatic cancer, said GMC.
