Chicago -- Bob Gessner, president of Massillon Cable TV in Ohio, was named chairman of the National Cable Television Cooperative.
Gessner is replacing outgoing chairman Tom Gleason, who operates NewWave Communications with his brother, Jim, in Sikeston, Mo.
The news was announced at Tuesday night’s dinner at The Independent Show here, the conference of the NCTC and the American Cable Association.
NCTC president Jeff Abbas also said that this year’s show had a record attendance -- just over 1,000.
The confab ends Wednesday.
