Gemstar-TV Guide International named two seasoned media executives to newly created positions as the company strengthens its corporate marketing department to support the increasing focus on the TV Guide brand across multiple platforms.
Lisa DiMarzio joined TV Guide as senior vice president of partner marketing and Jodi Gusek was named senior VP for corporate research. Both DiMarzio and Gusek are based in TV Guide’s Los Angeles headquarters and report to Alan Cohen, executive VP and chief marketing officer.
As senior VP of partner marketing, DiMarzio is responsible for the creation of strategic marketing partnerships that extend the reach and presence of the TV Guide brand across multiple consumer touch points. She joins the company with more than 20 years of marketing experience, including 18 years at Paramount Pictures.
A majority of her time at Paramount was spent in the role of senior VP, worldwide marketing partnerships, where she was responsible for the strategic development of co-branded global marketing campaigns and partnership activities around their theatrical releases.
DiMarzio most recently served as president of Link Entertainment Marketing, an independent entertainment-marketing-solutions provider specializing in brand integration, global marketing and partnerships.
In her role as senior VP of corporate research, Gusek will support the company’s business operations by initiating and overseeing all primary research activities as TV Guide continues to build upon its expertise and credibility as the authority on providing meaningful and engaging guidance solutions in a fast-shifting media marketplace.
She joins TV Guide from Frank N. Magid Associates, the world leader in research-based consultation, where she worked for 12 years, most recently as VP, entertainment research and new media consulting.
At Magid, Gusek co-founded the new-media practice to provide strategic research and consulting services to interactive media clients for new product development and marketing.
