Spanish-language cable network Galavisión will air more than five hours of live coverage of Tuesday’s presidential election, parent company Univision Communications Inc. said Friday.
Anchors Joaquin Lopez Doriga and Leonardo Kourchenko will report live from Washington, D.C., from 7 p.m.-11:30 p.m. (EST) on Galavisión's Elecciones Presidenciales 2004, offering analysis and reporting on the electoral count and official voter results.
And correspondents will contribute their views and insight from cities including New York; Los Angeles; Miami; Boston; San Diego; and McAllen-Brownsville and El Paso, Texas.
From 12:20 a.m.-1:30 a.m., Lopez Doriga and Kourchenko will host Mesade Debate desdeWashington. Accompanied by political analysts including journalist Jesus Reyes Heroles, they will examine how the outcome of the election will affect U.S. relations with Mexico and Latin America with emphasis on issues such as immigration, free trade and the Venezuelan government.
Finally, on Nov. 3, Galavisión will broadcast a second Mesade Debate desdeWashington, with host and news anchor Carlos Loret de Mola, from 12:20 a.m.-1:30 a.m., with follow-up analysis and an in-depth look into how U.S. politics will change once the president-elect takes office.
