G4 will provide extensive coverage of Comic-Con from San Diego July 20-23.
The network will air Comic-Con ’06 Live Friday, July 21 from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. (EST).
Flagship series Attack of the Show will also have a presence at the comic-book, science-fiction, action and horror convention, with two one-hour specials airing live from San Diego Monday and Tuesday, July 24 and 25, at 7 p.m.
Finally, G4 will hold the exclusive world premiere of its Happy Tree Friends animated series at Comic-Con, with the show joining the network’s lineup this fall.
“Offering live coverage of Comic-Con is a perfect fit with the G4 brand and G4’s mission to provide programming that speaks to men 18-34,” G4 president Neal Tiles said in a prepared statement.
“The 100,000 convention-goers who attend Comic-Con are excited about all the same topics G4 covers on a daily basis -- comic books, video games, anime, hot movies, celebrities and pop culture,” he added.
