FX has ordered a new drama series Snowfall, based on the 1980s’ crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles.
The series, executively produced by Dave Andron (Justified, Knight Rider), Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing, The Americans), John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood, Four Brothers, 2 Fast 2 Furious), Eric Amadio (After Sex, Stuntmen), Michael London (Sideways, House of Sand and Fog), and Trevor Engelson (Remember Me, All About Steve), will be set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it.
The series will star Damson, Idris Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Carter Hudson and Emily Rios.
"We are excited to add Snowfall to our original series lineup," said FX Networks President of original programming Eric Schrier Schrier. "Dave Andron, Tommy Schlamme, John Singleton and Eric Amadio have delivered a riveting and beautiful pilot and we can’t wait to start work on the series.”
