FX Greenlights 'Unsupervised'

 FX continued to mine the comedy genre Thursday, greenlighting a 13-episode order for a new animated comedy series dubbed Unsupervised.

The series, created It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia writers Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby, Unsupervised follows the lives of "optimistic" best friends as the navigate the harsh landscape of teenage life, the network said.

Unscripted is FX's sixth comedy series, joining It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, animated series Archer, The League, Louie, and Wilfred, said network officials.

"Having worked with David, Rob and Scott for many years on Sunny, it gives us great pleasure to see them make their own stamp on FX," said Nick Grad, executive vice president of original series for FX in a statement. "Unsupervised is a great addition to our comedy roster and, like all of our comedies, it's smart and really funny."
