FX Drops Curtain on 'The Comedians'

FX confirmed it will not renew its highly-touted comedy series The Comedians for a second season.

The series starred Billy Crystal and Josh Gad as comedians playing themselves in a fictional variety series. The Comedians showrunner and executive producer Ben Wexler earlier today announced via Twitter that the show would not return for a sophomore campaign.

“#TheComedians is cancelled at FX," Wexler wrote on the social media platform. "I could not be more proud of the work we all did.”
