FSN’s Sports Show Gets Its Rose Back

Chris Rose will return to FSN’s Best Damn Sports Show Period Monday, March 21.

Rose had been on a three-month hiatus while the network experimented with a late-night talk-show format.

“We’re really excited to have Chris come back to the show,” FSN executive vice president of programming and production George Greenberg said in a prepared statement.

“Since December, we’ve tried a talk-show format, and Tom Arnold and John Salley gave it everything they had,” he added. “Despite that tremendous effort, I felt that the ensemble-cast format was what set the show apart from so many other talk shows, and it was one of its definite strengths. That’s why we’re bringing it back.”

Original cast member Arnold will not be part of the new ensemble, but he reached an agreement with the network to continue his presence on the show over the next year when it goes on the road for major sports events like the NCAA Final Four; Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game and World Series; the Super Bowl; and BDSSP boxing specials.

Rose and Salley will be joined by two guest hosts next week, with permanent hosts to be named at a later date.
