Fox Revs Five-Year Pact with Feld Motor Sports

Fox Sports has crossed the finish line on a deal with Feld Motor Sports for a quartet of the group’s stadium and arena properties that will air on its national sports cable networks.

Under the five-year pact, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 in January will begin airing action from the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, Monster Jan, AMSOIL Arenacross and the Monster Energy Cup. Together, the networks, which were re-launched from Speed and Fuel, respectively, on Aug.17, will air upward of 291 hours of Feld Motor Sports fare annually. Included in the agreement, in which IMG Media represented Feld Motor Sports in the negotiations, are 115 hours of original programming and 51 hours of live coverage.

Moreover, the agreement, for which IMG represented Feld Motor Sports, calls for digital coverage of all four Feld properties on the motor sports channel of, reaching 40 million unique users per month.

During 2014, 13 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship races will air live on Fox Sports 1 starting Jan. 4, at the season opener from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., with encores on Fox Sports 2, which will air three live races.

Monster Jam, the largest touring monster truck property in the world with more than 350 performances and 4 million in live attendance annually, will air 26 hours of original programming on Fox Sports 1 trailed by a minimum of two re-airings on Fox Sports 2.

AMSOIL Arenacross will have all 12 rounds of the arena-based North American off-road motorcycle series broadcast on Fox Sports 1, including encores on its sister service. The racing begins in Worcester, Mass, on Jan. 3 and the championship culminates in Salt Lake City on March 30.

The Monster Energy Cup, from Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium, features a track design inspired by 15-time AMA National Champion Ricky Carmichael. The race will be telecast live on Fox Sports 2, with re-airs on Fox Sports 1.  The Monster Energy Cup posts a $1 million prize for any rider who wins all three main events.
