Fox News Channel Hires Huckabee

Fox News Channel has added former Arkansas governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee to its election team.

Huckabee will serve as a regular contributor to Fox News’s America's Election HQ coverage.

“Governor Huckabee’s campaign experience and knowledge of politics makes him a great addition to our ongoing election coverage,” said Fox News senior vice president of programming Bill Shine in a statement.

Huckabee campaigned for the Republican nomination for president during the 2008 primary season, after serving as Arkansas governor from 1996 to 2007. Prior to being elected the state’s lieutenant governor in 1993, Huckabee, who written five books including, From Hope to Higher Ground: 12 STOPS to Restoring America’s Greatness, spent much of his adult life before as a Baptist pastor and denominational leader.
