Comcast faces new competition on Dunstable, Mass., after Verizon launched its FiOS TV product to 1,000 households in the town.
Verizon won a pay TV franchise in Dunstable April 30.
Dunstable is one of 42 Massachusetts communities where FiOS TV is available. Verizon said it is marketing FiOS TV to 270,000 households in the state, and that it is negotiating franchise deals with 20 other communities in Massachusetts.
