Feherty On Course With Trevino, Watson, Cheadle, Barkley On New Series

Golf commentator and funny man David Feherty has lined up some notable guests for his interview show on Golf Channel.
Hall of Fame golfer Lee Trevino will appear on the June 20 premiere of Feherty at 10 p.m. (ET) That one-hour special will encore the following night, as the 12-episode series assumes its regular Tuesday 9 p.m. time slot.
Shot in settings both intimate and personal to the guests, Feherty's interview style engages his subjects, bringing out answers both honest and revealing. Interview locations will span the country for the 12-episode series and will take place on and off the golf course.
Trevino, traditionally a private person who rarely does interviews, will sit down with Feherty for a lengthy conversation in the hour-long premiere. The two will discuss Trevino's rocky path to success, his reflections on the 30th anniversary of his U.S. Open victory and the current state of the game.
Future installments will see Feherty travel to a suburban Los Angeles art center to do some play-acting with Don Cheadle (June 28), and Stillwell, Kan., where he visits Tom Watson at his picturesque and spacious family ranch (July 5). TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley will bring his own brand of candor to the show in the series' fourth week on July 12.
Surrounding the interviews in the 30-minute episodes, Feherty will demonstrate why he's called golf's funnyman through a variety of video shorts, storytelling and character play, as well as poignant and humorous observations on the peculiarities of life.
To promote the series, Golf Channel will host an exclusive, invitation-only stage performance with Feherty in Washington, D.C., on June 14. In recognition of the U.S. Open Championship being contested at Congressional Country Club in nearby Bethesda, Md., this week, "Feherty Live" will showcase Feherty's improvisational talents and feature PGA Tour players and a special salute to the U.S. Armed Forces.
