FCS Hoops Schedule Features 350 Games

Fox College Sports will present more than 350 men’s and women’s basketball games on its three networks during the 2008-09 season.

FCS Pacific, FCS Central and FCS Atlantic will showcase action from almost 200 schools, with 90% of the games televised live.

FCS’s schedule on Dec. 14 features traditional Pac-10 power Arizona Wildcats traveling to Spokane, Wash. to take on the fourth-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Among the top-ranked squads on the men’s side (AP’s Dec. 8 poll): top-ranked North Carolina, (3). Pittsburgh, (7) Duke, (11) Wake Forest, (16) UCLA and (20) Arizona St. The FCS women’s basketball schedule boasts 17 of the top 25 ranked teams, with such notable as the second-ranked Lady Tar Heels,  (3) Stanford, (4) Texas A&M, (5) Oklahoma, (6) Texas, (7) Tennessee, and (9) California. 

FCS’s schedule also features in-season tournaments like the MSG Holiday Festival and the Orange Bowl Classic. 

Men’s postseason conference tournament coverage includes games from the Pac-10, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Northeast Conference, Sun Belt and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. 

Women’s postseason tournament coverage includes early-round or championship games from the ACC, Big 12, Missouri Valley and Pac-10.
