Ex-Cisco Sales Exec Joins Adara

Mark Guerrazzi, a former Cisco Systems exec, has been named vice president, sales and business development at Adara Technologies, a company that sells hosted and managed digital video platforms to small- and mid-sized cable operators.

Guerrazzi, a 15-year vet of Cisco and Scientific Atlanta, most recently served as manager of business development within Cisco’s Connected Devices Business unit. Before that he was regional sales manager with Cisco’s Service Provider Technology Group. He’ll be based at Adara’s Atlanta-based sales office.

“As interest in our solution grows, it is important that we add someone with Mark’s experience and relationships to capitalize on our momentum and leadership position in this area, and to significantly expand our market share throughout North America,” said  Adara CEO Joseph Nucara, in a statement.

Adara is a long-time Cisco partner, using the latter’s boxes, switched digital video technology, middleware and user interface to power a system that can run cable networks based on either the Cisco or Arris/Motorola digital cable platform. Adara’s managed system is also comprised of headends, system integration, tech support and ongoing operational services.

Cass Cable, Baldwin Telecom, Beaver Creek Telephone, Darien Communications, and Cablovision Warwick are among Adara’s announced customers.
