ESPN To Air All USA Men's FIBA World Cup Basketball Games
ESPN will carry every game of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain across all of its properties beginning Aug. 30, the network said Tuesday.
ESPN and ESPN2 will televise 13 games, including every USA Basketball Men’s National Team game, as well as the Semifinals, Finals and select Quarterfinal games from the tournament, which runs from Aug. 30 through Sept. 14.
Every game of the FIBA Basketball World Cup will be available on WatchESPN, including 63 games on ESPN3 from the FIBA world feed, while ESPN Deportes and ESPN Deportes+ will offer Spanish-language coverage of 15 games – including all USA Basketball Men’s National Team appearances, the Semifinals, Finals and several games featuring Puerto Rico, Argentina and Mexico.
ESPN's SportsCenter will provide on-site reports from Spain for the first week of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, while ESPN Insider Marc Stein and analyst Fran Fraschilla will contribute to SportsCenter throughout the entire tournament. Stein will also provide comprehensive, on-site coverage for ESPN.com throughout the entire tournament including breaking news, digital video and more, according to ESPN.
