ESPN Names Mexico GM

published Gerardo Casanova has been named ESPN’s first-ever general manager in Mexico.
Casanova had been director of international business at Grupo Televisa SA.
At ESPN, he will be based in and manage the network’s Mexico City office, as well as overseeing all of the network’s business operations in Mexico, including its core television business and the development of new opportunities involving radio, print, wireless and consumer products.
He reports to Disney & ESPN Media Networks Latin America senior vice president and GM Guillermo Tabanera.
