Entertainment Studios Nets NCTC Deal

Entertainment Studios, Inc . has reached a carriage agreement with the NCTC to distribute its suite of high-definition cable networks, the company announced Monday.

The multi-year deal includes distribution for Entertainment Studios cable television networks Cars.TV, Comedy.TV, ES.TV, Mydestination.TV, Pets.TV, and Recipe.TV by NCTC members who elect to carry the networks under the NCTC partnership. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“The NCTC plays an important role in representing independent cable operators, said Byron Allen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Entertainment Studios in a statement. “ Our goal and commitment has always been to make our HD networks the very best in their categories, and our new affiliation arrangement with NCTC is another big step in bringing our HD networks to more viewers.”

Added NCTC President Rich Fickle: “NCTC is pleased to announce our new relationship with Entertainment Studios Networks and provide members access to their suite of linear HD networks. “Byron Allen’s approach to the business is unique and welcomed at a time when there are many pressure points on rising programming expenses.”
