Emmys 2016: ‘Veep’ Repeats As Best Comedy Series

HBO's Veep won its second consecutive Emmy for best comedy series during Sunday night's Emmy telecast.

The best comedy series win for Veep follows a win earlier in the evening by series star Julia Louise-Dreyfus for best actress in a comedy series. Veep beat out black-ish (ABC), Master of None (Netflix), Modern Family (ABC), Silicon Valley (HBO),Transparent (Amazon), and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix) for the statuette.
