E! Scores With ‘Girls Next Door,’ ‘Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood’

E! scored big ratings for the debut episode of Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood and the season debut of The Girls Next Door.

Father Hood, a half-hour reality show following the lives of rapper Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus) and his family, pulled a 1.71 Nielsen household rating in metered markets at 10:30 p.m., topping E!’s four-week average in the time slot during the last four weeks by 22%.

The Girls Next Door, a wacky half-hour reality show about Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends – Playboy playmates Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, Kendra Wilkinson – pulled a 1.67 rating in metered markets at 10 p.m. That was an improvement of 22% during its timeslot compared to the average rating during the four prior weeks.

These debut episodes and repeats helped E! average a 0.61 rating from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., up 13% from the prior four week average, the network said.


National ratings should be released Tuesday.
