Disney Channel Sets New Series Pilot

Disney Channel will turn to Lizzie McGuire creator Terri Minsky to create a new series pilot for the tween-targeted network.

The new untitled pilot will star actress Peyton Elizabeth Lee as a young 13-year old who’s life gets turned upside down when her troubled older high school dropout sister returns home looking to start over.

Minsky, whose popular Lizzie McGuire series starring Hilary Duff aired on Disney Channel from 2001-2004, and Michelle Manning (Teen Beach 2) will serve as executive producers, according to Disney.
