Disney Channel Greenlights 'Best Friends Whenever'

Disney Channel has greenlit a new comedy series, Best Friends Whenever, the network announced Friday.

The series stars Landry Bender (Disney XD's Crash & Bernstein) and newcomer Lauren Taylor as who when a science experiment goes wrong, become unstuck in time, leaping forward and backward whenever they want – and sometimes even when they don't. The series will debut this Fall, according to Disney.

Michael Kaplan (Dog With A Blog), along Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas (both of Disney XD's Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja) will serve as executive producers, while Shelley Jensen (Austin & Ally, Good Luck Charlie) will direct multiple episodes.
