Dish, Tegna Reach Retrans Settlement

Dish and Tegna after a several-hour long blackout, reached a comprehensive agreement for 47 stations in 39 markets saturday afternoon.
About 47 Tegna stations in 39 markets went dark to nearly 13 million Dish subscribers Saturday at midnight, after Dish said the braodcaster was making demands to double its monthly carriage rates. With the prospect of missing out on Sunday NFL football, the two manager to hammer out a deal within hours.
In a terse statement Saturday afternoon, Tegna said that it has reached a multi-year carriage deal with Dish and that all of its stations would return to the Dish lineup.
