DirecTV Delivers EWTN In Spanish To Latin America, Caribbean
The international Spanish-language service of EWTN Global Catholic Network is now available to DirecTV subscribers in Latin America and the Caribbean, network officials said Tuesday.
EWTN’s El Canal Catolicó will now be delivered 24 hours a day throughout the region on Channel 350.
“I am very satisfied to know that EWTN’s programming will now be available in Venezuela and the rest of Latin America through DirecTV,” Archbishop Ubaldo Santana, president of the Bishops’ Conference of Venezuela, said in a statement. “I congratulate EWTN and share the joy of a great number of viewers who will have access to the Word of Life in their homes through television. May God bless you."
Countries that will benefit from this agreement include Argentina, Bolivia, the Caribbean (including Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Martinique, Netherlands Antilles, Saba, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands), Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.
EWTN Global Catholic Network, in its 27th year, is available in nearly 150 million television households in more than 140 countries and territories.
