Describing the NFL In Their Own Words

NFL Network will air In Their Own Words Tuesdays at 9 p.m. (EST/PST) beginning April 6, the network said Tuesday.

The series will allow National Football League players and coaches to tell their own stories, giving fans insight into their personalities.

The 20-episode series uses interviews, archival action footage and exclusive sound captured on the field, on the sidelines and in the locker room on each subject.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young kicks off the series, and other subjects include Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden, Detroit Lions head coach Steve Mariucci, Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren and Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe.
