'Damages' Augments Cast For Third Season

FX's legal thriller Damages is bolstering its cast with Campbell Scott and Martin Short signing on as series regulars, while Lily Tomlin and Keith Carradine are slated to guest-star for the upcoming season, premiering in January.
Production of the acclaimed series, which was nominated for seven Emmy Awards and Glenn Close took home the statue for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for a second straight year, begins Sept. 23 on the 13-episode third season in New York
Scott (The Secret Lives of Dentists, Big Night) starred in multiple episodes of USA Network's Royal Pains, while Short joins the cast as a two-time Emmy nominee for his performance in Comedy Central's Primetime Glick and his supporting role in Merlin.
Tomlin is a multiple Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee, while Carradine, who co-starred with Tomlin in the Academy Award-winning film Nashville, most recently co-starred in Showtime's Dexter as special agent Frank Lundy.
Other actors who will appear in the upcoming season of Damages, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television and and FX Productions, include Ebon Moss-Bachrach (John Adams), Michael Gaston (Fringe) and Darren Goldstein who appeared in the show's inaugural season as "Chris Sharp."
