Current TV topped 50 million homes worldwide thanks to launches on the United Kingdom’s British Sky Broadcasting and Virgin Media.
The network -- co-founded by former Vice President Al Gore and Joel Hyatt -- launched inAugust 2005 and has more than tripled its worldwide carriage since.
Current has U.S. carriage deals with cable MSOs Comcast and Time Warner Cable, as well as direct-broadcast satellite providers DirecTV and EchoStar Communications’ Dish Network.
