Video-on-demand service Concert.tv will run ads in August prompting viewers to send text messages in hopes of winning tickets to the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park Aug. 28-30.
Ads will prompt those watching to send a text message with the words "Outside Lands" to 70734 which in turn will enter them into a drawing for a three-day pass. A total of three pairs of tickets will be given away by Aug. 21.
Another Planet Entertainment, the largest independent promoter in the Bay Area, and Superfly Productions, co-creators of Bonnaroo, are teaming with Concert.tv on the promotional campaign.

Outside Lands is the premier festival in the Northern California region, with programming across musical genres: rock, pop, world music, soul, hip-hop and electronic. Headliners include Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Modest Mouse and Tenacious D.
Concert.tv, part of Mag Rack Entertainment, tested its "call-to-text" technology this spring with a campaign backing Motley Crue's Cruefest.
