On Command Video Corp. was awarded a patent directed to the technology used to control the information and services presented to hotel guests via its video-on-demand technology.
U.S. patent 7,000,243 B1 was awarded to the company for its submission of allocating computer resources within a video-distribution system. On Command said key elements of this invention include technological advancements such as dynamic allocation of computing resources to provide guest services through menus, Intranet access and the selection of VOD and other demand services.
The technology is used in the company’s “CANVAS” menu system and “Video Concierge” service.
