Comedy Central is going on tour with the Comedians of Comedy.
The network will begin shooting the series -- set to air late in the fourth quarter or early in the first quarter of 2006 -- in Baltimore, followed by performances in New York; Philadelphia; Atlantic City, N.J.; and Boston and Martha's Vineyard, Mass.
The series will follow comedians Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Maria Bamford and Zach Galifianakis on tour this summer, both on stage and behind the scenes.
“We are always looking for new ways to expand the way we produce stand-up programming,” executive in charge of production Lou Wallach said in a prepared statement. “Comedians of Comedy fits the bill because it takes our viewers behind the scenes and on the road with some of their favorite comedians.”
