The mostly Mexican crowd that cheered on Club AmÃ©rica at an
April 30 soccer match in Chicago against
the Chicago Fire got more than just a 2-1 win for their team. They also learned
that Bandamax, the widely distributed TV channel featuring regional Mexican
music, will be soon available via Comcast's Hispanic lineup.

Bandamax is one of five Spanish-language networks that will
be made available on June 30 as part of a bigger agreement between Comcast and
TuTv Networks, the joint venture between Televisa and Univision. The agreement,
terms of which were not disclosed, includes the addition of all of TuTv
networks: De PelÃcula, De PelÃcula ClÃ¡sico, TeleHit, Ritmoson and Bandamax. All
channels are produced in Mexico
by Grupo Televisa.
"This is great news for us," said TuTv president Chris Fager
about the Comcast deal, which is expected to expand to other Hispanic markets
in the near future. The agreement also includes TuTv's delivery of free video-on-demand
movies, mostly from its extensive library of black-and-white classic Mexican
is currently available in over 2 million households nationwide via digital
cable, satellite and wireless.
