Comcast Debuts RFD-TV On Nashville’s Digital Lineup
Comcast’s first rollout of RFD-TV will be at its Nashville system, officials said Monday.
The Nashville system will add RFD-TV to its digital channel lineup, beginning with a preview March 31. Comcast Nashville will be offering RFD-TV as part of its Digital Preferred package on channel 136.
“We could not ask for a better way to begin the launch of RFD-TV on Comcast systems,” Patrick Gottsch, president of Rural Media Group, the parent company of RFD-TV, said in a prepared statement. “Nashville is RFD-TV’s hometown and the perfect place for the introduction of our network to Comcast viewers and other regional Comcast carriers nationwide. RFD-TV’s first Comcast launch in Nashville is once again helping us connect rural and urban America.”
Launched in December 2000, RFD-TV is the nation's first network dedicated to serving the needs and interests of rural America. RFD-TV features a variety of rural programming including Ralph Emery “Live,” the new Crook & Chase Show and Imus in the Morning.
“Comcast is always looking for ways to enhance the value and variety of our channel line-up, and we are excited to be the first Comcast system to launch Nashville-based RFD-TV,” John Gauder, Comcast’s area vice president for Nashville, said in a prepared statement.
