Comcast, CN8 Offer Candidates On Demand

Comcast subscribers in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington, D.C., will have access to Candidates On Demand.

The MSO’s video-on-demand service will provide CN8, The Comcast Network interviews with more than 500 political candidates for more than 350 gubernatorial, senate, house, mayoral and other local political races free-of-charge and full-time.

Comcast On Demand also offers local, state and federal election debates.

“When launching CN8 10 years ago, our goal was to create an added-value network to offer our viewers intelligent, interactive, live programming, while simultaneously leveraging Comcast's exclusive products and services," Comcast Cable Communications Eastern division president and CN8 founder Michael Doyle said in a prepared statement.

"Candidates On Demand realizes this vision by providing a comprehensive destination for voters to access the unbiased political information and interviews they need to make an educated vote -- something traditional networks simply don't address,” he added.
