AARP, Norfolk Southern and the Partnership for Prescription Assistance signed on as sponsors for CNN’s coverage of the 2006 midterm elections.
The sponsors will have shared, customized on-air billboards and tagged tune-in spots for election coverage across all CNN networks.
The network said its election coverage will include: sponsored live primetime special events; investigations; special reports with Lou Dobbs; a weeklong expanded The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Paula Zahn; three consecutive nights of wall-to-wall news and analysis surrounding election night; exclusive CNN.com (www.cnn.com) news stories; digital special features including streaming media, wireless polls, interactive-TV reports and podcasts; and grassroots local reporting from the CNN Election Express bus.
