CMT Sings New Tune For ‘Million Dollar Quartet’

CMT has renamed its Million Dollar Quartet music-themed scripted series Sun Records, the network said Wednesday.

The limited eight-part series, based on the Broadway musical of the historic recording sessions featuring Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, will debut on CMT Feb. 23, said network officials.

Sun Records will join Nashville – which CMT picked up after ABC cancelled the series earlier this year – and Still The King as music themed scripted series as part of CMT's 2017 lineup.
