CMT to Cowboy Up Again
Original reality series Cowboy U will return to Country Music Television for a fifth season, the network said Wednesday.
Cowboy U features professional cowboys Rocco Wachman and Judd Leffew coaching contestants through a boot camp in their effort to become cowboys.
Production on the fifth season of Cowboy U will begin this fall, with eight episodes scheduled to premiere during the first quarter of 2006.
The series debuted on CMT in August 2003.
“Cowboy U has developed a strong following on CMT, and we’re thrilled to bring Rocco and the entire gang back for another season,” vice president of programming and development Paul Villadolid said in a prepared statement.
“This show works for us because it chronicles a uniquely American experience, putting real people through tough, physical challenges and turning them into real cowboys,” he added. “But in the process, our contestants also go through an amazing and rewarding personal journey, accomplishing things that they never dreamed possible.”
