‘Christmas Under Wraps’ Sets Hallmark Ratings Mark

Hallmark Channel’s holiday movies continue to deliver big ratings gifts.

The network’s Nov. 29 Christmas Under Wraps movie drew a network record 5.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen Fast Cable Ratings.

The movie, which stars Candace Cameron Bure, also delivered in key demos including women 25-54 (1.2 million viewers); women 18-49 (930,000 viewers) and adults 18-49 (1.3 million), said network officials.

Christmas Under Wraps is now the second most-watched cable original movie in 2014, behind the 6 million viewers generated by Lifetime's Flowers In The Attic this past January, according to Nielsen.

The network’s One Christmas Eve also drew a big audience during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, averaging 3.6 million viewers in its Nov. 30 premiere, said the network. One Christmas Eve also garnered strong numbers among women 25-54 (628,000), women 18-49 (489,000), adults 25-54 (779,000), and adults 18-49 (598,000), said the network.
