Cartoon Network has green-lighted 26 additional half-hour episodes of Ed, Edd n Eddy, one of the network’s most popular original series since its debut in January 1999.
The new episodes of the series, which debuted in 1999, will premiere in 2005. The show’s 52 installments to date have proven to be quite popular, particularly among kids 6-11 and boys 6-11: Ed, Edd n Eddy ranked first with those demos during the first quarter, according to the network.
Whereas the first 52 episodes focus on the summer adventures of trio of best friends with the same name, the new batch will look at things happening during the rest of the year, according to network officials.
Elsewhere, three half-hour specials are already in production, with the first a Christmas show slated to air this December.
