Cablevision Launches Univision Sports, Novela Networks

Bolstering its Spanish-language programming roster, Cablevision has launched Univision Deportes Network and Univision tlnovelas.

Optimum subscribers can tune to Univision Deportes Network on channel 1065, where they can find live matches, sports news, entertainment and interactive sports fare. Positioned on channel 1091, Univision tlnovelas showcases the biggest telenovelas, many of which have not been seen since their original broadcast.

Univision Deportes Network is available to Optimum’s residential customers with the Optimum Preferred Package, Optimum Package and the new Optimum en español Package.  Additionally, commercial customers with a subscription to Optimum Business, Optimum Entertainment and above, or the Optimum en español Package will receive Univision Deportes Network.  Residential and commercial customers with a subscription to the new Optimum en español package can enjoy Univision tlnovelas.

Featuring top sports content, Univision Deportes Network features coverage of 12 of the 18 teams within the Liga MX, the Mexican National Team, Copa MX, plus Major League Soccer, the U.S. National Team, the CONCACAF Champions League, the German National Team, the DFB Cup, the French National Team, the French Cup, France’s Ligue 1 and many more premier soccer tournaments from around the world.  Additionally, the network showcases unmatched coverage leading up to 2014 FIFA World Cup, including World Cup Qualifiers and the FIFA 2013 Confederations Cup. 

Univision tlnovelas delivers a mix of the top recent and past favorite novelas from world renowned producer Televisa. The current lineup includes blockbuster hits such as El Privilegio de Amar, Entre el amor y el odio, Las Tontas no van al Cielo and Mañana es Para Siempre.
