Cablevision Systems Corp. is rolling out a Spanish-language version of its Optimum Online service in the New York metropolitan area.
The site (www.optimumonline.com/rapido) will provide the same functions for high-speed customers as its English companion site, including a frequently-asked-questions page, service information and product-installation tips.
"With U.S. Hispanics coming online three times faster and spending 9% more time online than the general market, a Spanish-language customer-acquisition Web site was the logical next step in the evolution of our service," said Gemma Toner, senior vice president for high-speed-data products for Optimum, in a prepared statement.
