Cablevision Adds NFL Network, NFL RedZone to Optimum TV To Go Roster

Continuing to build its Optimum TV to Go roster, Cablevision Systems Corp. has made NFL Network and NFL RedZone available on any Internet-connected computer or tablet.

Optimum TV customers who receive the 24/football service, as well as the ad hoc scoring channel, as part of their cable service can now use the “Watch NFL Network” feature to view the network pair anywhere in the U.S. on any Internet-connected computer or tablet.  As such, Optimum said it is the first television provider to offer out-of-the-home viewing of both the NFL Network, including its Thursday Night Football package, and RedZone, which shows highlights and every scoring play, on computers and tablet devices.

After years of sitting on the sidelines over pricing and positioning issues, Cablevision reached a carriage agreement with the pro football league in August. NFL Network is now included in its Optimum Preferred, Optimum Silver, Optimum Gold or the Optimum Sports & Entertainment Pak, while NFL RedZone, which airs on Sundays throughout the regular season, is available in the Optimum Sports & Entertainment Pak.

To access “Watch NFL Network” online, Optimum subscribers with NFL Network or with NFL Network and NFL RedZone can go to www.optimum.net/TVtoGO or http://nfl.com/watchnflnetwork.  Then, they select Optimum as their provider and sign in with their Optimum ID and password, make their viewing selection and begin watching this "TV Everywhere" gambit.
