Cable Show 2012: Friends to Remember Lonergan in Boston on May 21

Friends and colleagues of the late Chris Lonergan will celebrate his life during the Cable Show in Boston.
A tribute and toast will be held during the NCTA convention at Gem Restaurant and Lounge, 42 Province Street, on May 21 from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. RSVP to Chrysti_Hill@discovery.com.

The longtime Discovery executive and industry veteran lost his battle with cancer on April 13 at the age of 54. Lonergan is survived by his wife, Cheryl, and their two young sons, Christopher and Grant.

An educational trust has also been established for the children and donations will be accepted at the gathering in Boston. Lonergan joined Discovery Networks in July 1992 as senior account manager for The Learning Channel. He was senior vice president of affiliate sales and national accounts, when he left Discovery in 2006.
Most recently, he ran his own consultancy, Lonergan Media. Prior to that he served as president of the Italian-American Channel.
