Comedy Central has promoted Aileen Budow to vice president, corporate communications.
Budow had been director, corporate communications.
In her new role, she will lead the network’s publicity efforts in support of both on-air and off-air events, including red-carpet activities, gossip, photo and people-item placements. She is also responsible for publicizing Comedy’s marketing and sales-promotions activities within the advertising and marketing trade publications, as well as the consumer business press. And she will develop strategies to publicize Comedy’s expansion into the digital space, including the Internet, wireless and broadband areas, as well as Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Comedy Central Records.
Budow reports to executive VP of corporate communications Tony Fox.
