Broadband Horizons said Wednesday that it has successfully launched broadband over power lines (BPL) in three Texas communities.
The company launched the successful pilot projects in mid-June in Blanco, Burnet and Weimar, and it said it aims to add more than 50 other Texas communities in the next few years.
BPL services have also launched in states including Virginia, Indiana and Kentucky.
BPL delivers high-speed Internet connections similar to cable modems and digital subscriber line, but over existing power lines.
