Blonder Tongue Gets ‘Agile’
Blonder Tongue Laboratories Inc. Wednesday introduced its new “Agile QAM Modulator.”
The vendor said the AQM modulates an asynchronous-serial-interface digital-input signal with quadrature amplitude modulation and upconverts it to an RF output on any cable channel.
Blonder Tongue added that the new product supports common symbol constellations of 64 QAM and 256 QAM, as well as next-generation technology of 512 QAM and 1024 QAM.
“We are proud to be a pioneer in developing a product for the cable-television industry that embraces advanced technology like 512 and 1024 QAM,” Blonder Tongue president Bob Palle said in a prepared statement. “Not only can the AQM be used in digital headends, but also in the laboratory environment in next-generation testing.”
