Blonder Tongue Cuts ‘TrailBlazer’ Prices
By MCN Staff
published Blonder Tongue Laboratories Inc. said Monday that it has significantly reduced prices for its "TrailBlazer Series" of fiber-optic broadband links.
The vendor attributed the price cuts to "new manufacturing methods, improved design and lower component costs" in a prepared statement.
The TrailBlazer Series consists of transmitters, receivers and integrated receiver/distribution amplifiers to provide transmission of 80-110 channels of vestigial sideband/AM-modulated signals over single mode optical fiber.
Blonder Tongue said its TrailBlazer-A Series is priced approximately 40% lower and its integrated receiver/amplifiers have been slashed by some 35%.
