BET Sets ‘Black Card Revoked’ Game Show

BET has greenlit a new game show series, Black Card Revoked, to premiere in January, the network said Thursday.

The show, based on the party game of the same name, will debut Jan. 10, according to network officials.

Comedian Tony Rock will host the series, which will test players’ knowledge of the nuances of the African American perspective - from pop culture milestones and entertainment moments to historical facts and politics.

The original creators of the popular party game, Latesha Williams and Jay Bobo, will serve as co-executive producers. David A. Hurwitz, will also serve as executive producer for Alternative Productions, Inc. under his Bill’s Market & Television Productions banner, according to BET.

Black Card Revoked follows on the heels of the September debut of BET's game show series Face Value, hosted by Deon Cole.
